@bradncpa This happens way too often to business owners who try to do it all themselves. QB connections like to send those payments to undeposited funds - then they just accumulate until the right person pulls the balance sheet.
I'm a CPA. I needed a better way to send engagement letters/proposals and onboard clients; so I built https://t.co/408HRLjBKL.
Tiered proposals, engagements, client onboarding, tax season scheduling, and organizers. Looking to add 10 more beta testers this week. DM me or comment "beta tester" and I'll unlock free access after sign up. No credit card required.
All features. $30/month. Payments run through Stripe at standard rate; FirmPilot takes no cut.

In my client's experience, no. The IRS will return the payment in about 90 days. Then the client will deposit the check or get the refund, and there will be a balance due notice sent out after the return is filed.
You will know your estimated payments match the return and what the client gave you. You will just have to spend hours on the phone sorting out which of the four payments of the same amount were “not received.” The agent will check the spouse's SSN and let you know, “oh yeah, that was refunded.”
Rep. Thomas Massie is on the brink of securing a huge win for small farmers.
His PRIME Act is officially included in the 2026 Farm Bill.
If this passes, it will deliver a blow to Big Ag’s stranglehold on the meatpacking industry.
“This would make it easier for local farmers to sell directly to local consumers using a local slaughterhouse.”
How?
It would cut the USDA out of inspections for local processing facilities.
“You don’t need the USDA to inspect a facility that has seven employees.”
“So what I’ve proposed is that you could just have the local health inspection… inspecting these slaughterhouses.”
“As long as you don’t cross state lines, you shouldn’t need the federal government’s involvement in this processing.”
“The good news is, I got that in the Farm Bill.”
