"The question can't be 'How do we cause the least disruption to the status quo?' It's 'How do we provide the brightest future for our kids?'"

These are unsettling times, but I'm confident that if we all keep looking out for each other and fighting for a better world, we will build the state and country that we deserve. I'm planning to stay in that fight, and I hope you will too.
-Ryan
THANK YOU so much to everyone who voted, volunteered, donated, and helped spread the word about this campaign. Last night's results weren't what we were hoping for, but it takes nothing away from the months of hard work that we all put in - esp. during such a challenging time
I want to congratulate Maggie Trevor on her win last night, and for running such a civil and positive campaign. Maggie will be an excellent representative for our district, and I encourage all of my supporters to join me in doing all we can to help her #flipthe54th this Fall
The Cook County Clerk's office has announced that several polling places have received permission to remain open an hour later tonight (til 8 p.m.), including Clearbrook in Arlington Heights and Barrington Village Hall: https://t.co/9PZluqv6c9
There were reports that the polling place at Barrington Village Hall was not open this morning, but according to the Village of Barrington it *is now open* and will be for the rest of the day. If anyone has questions or any difficulty voting today, please let us know!
Today is one of the strangest Election Days in history. We hope you'll exercise your right to vote today - but ONLY if you feel comfortable doing so. If you feel sick or are in an at-risk group then please stay home. And if you have a mail-in ballot, it must be postmarked *today*
A few polling places we already know have changed:
-Solstice Senior Living and Church Creek moved to Rolling Meadows Courthouse (2121 Euclid, RM)
-Buehler YMCA moved to Sundling Jr. High (1100 N. Smith, Palatine)
-Lutheran Home moved to Patton School (1616 N. Patton, AH)
Two days to go until the election! If you have time today/tomorrow to make calls or send texts, please reach out to [email protected].
We'll send you a script and everything else you need to help us spread the word about Ryan's campaign for progressive reform!
Those of us who are (relatively) young and healthy have a responsibility to do all we can not to transmit the virus to those who are at greater risk, and that's why I've decided to cancel all of my campaign's canvassing and public events between now and Election Day. 1/3
If you aren't comfortable going to your polling place next week, consider voting by mail. Today is the last day to request your ballot!

Ryan was grateful for the opportunity to meet with @MomsDemand last night and talk about his agenda for gun safety reform in IL, which includes universal background checks, banning assault weapons, and closing the FOID loophole.

Taking a break from #PostcardsToVoters and @Postcards2WI to stuff envelopes for @HuffmanForIL54. I'm mailing to a few dozen voters in Palatine.
Illinois votes next Tuesday, March 17th!
