I have just had a thought. Toad-eater is a bowdlerization of turd-eater. Is this already known? I may have been helped by the happy chance that in Hull "toad" is pronounced "turd".

@Hull_Museums Your pcs are great but it would be even greater if you gave some orientation, like where it was taken from or which way it was looking. Hull has changed a lot.

@Hull_Museums I remember hauling on a rope to help lift the Horkstow mosaic onto the wall. It was unbelievably heavy. I learnt that Roman mosaics belong underfoot and why Roman walls were decorated with paint.
