Scorsese, you old dog, you yourself have made it and now want to take away the ladder from the young artists by promoting the acceptance of their replacement with AI.
Martin Scorsese is backing an AI company to “push the bounds of creativity to create deeper and richer experiences for audiences.” He is using the technology for storyboarding purposes.
"I’m interested in the intersection of technology and storytelling, and seeing how that can push the bounds of creativity to create deeper and richer experiences for audiences. Cinema is a young medium, only around 125 years old, so we have to be open to how it can evolve. I utilized 3D with ‘Hugo’ and de-aging technology for ‘The Irishman.’ Now, with this tool, I can share what I’m visualizing more clearly and efficiently to my creative team — the production designer, art designer, and cinematographer — for them to build on to enrich cinematic intelligence."

@unusual_whales It is a strawman argument, Mr. Bezos. The argument is not that YOU and you alone pay more taxes but that all billionaires who benefit from the system the most pay the most for the system to continue.
Great video! And never apologize for being nuanced. On the substance, one of the reasons for being an AI-doomer is that it’ll shake and debunk our core concepts of who we are. It is admirable how you try to find an escape route but those nooks are not safe either. “Intelligence” is a description, not a mode of being.
@asteroidsfred Indeed! And also, this type of thinking assumes infinite demand for products! E.g., traditional companies produce tons of software that nobody ends up needing and the companies lose money. Build and they will come -- this logic has long been debunked in economics.
