@WSJ AIโs promise is real, but so is the disruption. If companies capture the gains while workers absorb the losses, the backlash will be severe. Regulation, retraining and stronger safety nets need to arrive before mass displacement, not after.
The biggest opportunity in humanoid robotics may not be building the robot itself. It may be solving the bottlenecks every robot company faces: cheaper actuators, dexterous hands, better training data, safety systems, factory integration, and reliable fleet operations. In the race to build humanoids, the biggest winners could be the startups selling the picks and shovels.
