@Section_230 This guy definitely gives off "would refuse to leave your house after you tell him to leave for insulting your guests and claim you're violating his rights" vibes.
@DavidSacks We weren't sold anything. We saw the build-up, the nightime blitz, paratroopers at the airport, the rush for Kiev and its failure as it stalled.
We saw a belligerent RU invade and we know any annexation threatens the entire world order. That was the offer. We're already sold.
@Too_Big_To_Fail Seems to me that if you can prove actual innocence, no matter the procedural posture, a process to allow you to do that is always due.
@BadMedicalTakes When you watch a video with that former NYC pimp who now walks around all day staring directly at the sun and you go, "Y'know, I think he's onto something!"
@emptywheel@MichaelCohen212 For every attorney who has ever represented a CEO who just won't take advice, turns everything into a pissing match, and tries to play games with their own counsel, this is the warmest blanket of down-feather schadenfraude wrapped in an Egyptian cotton duvet of karma.
@oneunderscore__ My neigbor ran a red light! Cops "investigated" and he confessed, said it was an accident, and apologized. He got off w/ a warning!
Now, they're indicting ME just b/c I ran all the red lights in town, all night long, while cops were chasing me and I threw ketchup at their cars!
@kaitlancollins Trump carrying out illegal acts through his attorney!? Trying to hide behind confidentiality? Who could have imagined?
I guess that's kind of what he did w/ Cohen, huh? Gee, kind of puts those Ukraine communications that all had to run through Rudy in a different light now.
@JaxAlemany Alternatively: a meeting was held per the target letter and a plea deal discussed. This case is bad for Trump, so his attorneys likely recommended a plea, as obligated. Trump almost certainly didn't like that idea and likely saw it as a personal betrayal. Normal bad client stuff.
