Hi X, I'm a full time futures trader and college student. I've been trading for 7 years and became profitable after going into over $50k of credit card debt.
I will be posting about trading strategy/psychology, my story, and whatever else I feel like.
My trading journey:
If AI labs want personal assistants to take off at scale, they need to stop marketing vacations, reservations, party planning, etc. These are not problems.
Focus on *the* problem facing Americans: the cost of living. Agents can offer a ton of help.
Some ideas: (🧵)
No idea how this is gonna look in practice, but if done correctly, this makes @bot one of the most competitive AI products period.
More questions than answers at this point though:
Will we be able to see which model it’s using for any given task? How much will this affect our usage? Will we be able to opt for cheaper models with much higher usage as a general preference?
Important note regarding Grok @Bot:
Going forward, @SpaceX will use the best back end model for any given task, including Claude Opus 5.5, MidJourney, Suno and other leading APIs.
Whatever is most likely to give you the best outcome.
Would love to see a Dots widget since a lot of people use it as their main interface for orchestrating work sessions
Also, being a personal agent that is supposed to have the most context about the user, telling the Dot something when you first open the app makes sense
I completely forgot to post about it but did you know we added widgets for Codex in latest ChatGPT iOS update? You can even have your limits right on your lock screen!
People don’t hate talking on the phone because of the phone call’s ui
It’s mostly socializing feeling burdensome or something about the human element of it
I personally like the ui for Dot calls but I wish it would answer instantly instead of arbitrarily making you wait
this struck a nerve with many...and here's why:
there are 2 things millennials universally hate doing:
1. talking on the phone
2. answering the door
why are we recreating one of these with such a future oriented product? @sama
Simple roadmap to $10k/mo trading
1) Blast prop firm evaluations until you pass one
2) Take funded slow. Follow your rules and system, A+ setups only. Work your way to a 1k-2k payout over a few weeks
3) Reinvest the money into more evals. Start copy trading 2, then 3, then eventually 5 at a time with the same process. Don’t change things up here, do what got you the payout in the first place
4) Once you’re funded with 5 accounts, you need to average $100/day on each account. That gets you to $10k/month. Thats 10 points on 5 micros. Easy
Obviously, this whole process is harder than it sounds. But it’s not complicated. Make a plan, get it done.
One of the best parts about trading is how your income immediately reflects your capabilities
With a job, your progress is measured in years and infrequent raises/promotions
With trading, if you improve month over month, you literally see it immediately reflected in the money that hits your bank account
Much more satisfying and accurate version of assessing progress
Not having a boss is probably harder than having one
Everyone wants to be their own boss because they think it means they can do whatever they want
In reality, you actually have to be your own boss
You have to make sure you are staying focused and not wasting time. You have to keep yourself accountable instead of relying on an external force
Most people are probably better off with the boss
NEW: According to a bombshell report in the New York Times, Anthropic co-founder Chris Olah threatened to walk out of Pope Leo XIV’s AI encyclical launch in May because the pope rejected the idea that machines can be conscious.
Olah’s team then privately lobbied the pope’s advisers “to take the possibility of model consciousness seriously.” Pope Leo XIV held firm.
For months, Anthropic has wined and dined theologians and religious scholars under nondisclosure agreements, hoping they would bless the idea that Claude has moral standing. https://t.co/iG3Bnlzt2J
Get this into your head...
Whenever there is a new story or event that taps into a volatile cultural battleground you see that the majority of people have no conception of what is just or unjust, what is or isn't true, nor do they have any particular interest in discerning or challenging their preconceptions.
They react to satisfy a covert narcissistic bloodlust.
Equal parts fear, cowardice, and sadism. It's so hard to distance oneself from this (or see it in others) because it's the default operating state of a majority of people.
This isn't just "consuming content." The reality is that a majority of people have decided—knowingly or unknowingly—to abdicate their responsibility to discern truth, morality, or justice.
This is base human nature amplified and unmasked in such a way it's difficult to even conceptualize.
I talk about it a lot, simply because I think it's ONE of the core challenges of our time...
This is also why I am SO LOUD about the importance and responsibility we as individuals have to continually pursue and strive towards mental, spiritual, and intellectual FORMATION.
To be able to rigorously stand, with self-respect, by those non-material pieces that form the SELF. Unmoved by trends, deafening voices, or popular influence.
Being THIS type of person is more important than ever. Not just for YOUR sanity, peace of mind, and overall wellbeing... but for everyone that is in your orbit.
For everyone who is baying for blood, pulling their hair out, physically withdrawn, trapped by gravity's pull of the dozens of other shallow voices online that have replaced their own mind...
Anyway, if you've been continually asking yourself since COVID "why have people gone insane..."
Here's some reading recs that will change your life (no hyperbole...)
Sexual Personae – Camille Paglia
Feminism Against Progress – Mary Harrington
The Culture of Narcissism – Christopher Lasch
The Age of Entitlement – Christopher Caldwell
The Closing of the American Mind – Allan Bloom
GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS⚡️
This is deeply disturbing:
Anthropic secretly invited religious leaders to SF to advise them on AI safety, had them sign NDAs, but then primarily tried to convince them Claude has a soul & moral standing, all while wining & dining them to the max. 1/ https://t.co/4Z7Yk9rwk2

Today, @Tradeify, @Topstep, and @TopOneFutures have all released new plans with higher payout caps, static drawdown, or direct competitors to perps.
Tons of options for traders now and they’ll only continue to get better
Everyone in the prop firm space is rushing to perps because of the attractive rules and fast payouts.
They are all the hype atm and futures firms are going to bleed customers the longer these perp firms can subsidize losses to gain market share.
In the longer term, this new competition is great for futures prop customers.
Losing market share to perps will force futures firms to loosen rules, be more generous with payout structures, and compete on price.
Whether you are trying perps or not, this is all good news for traders.
