@CllrJRussell46 @AboutEG @egcouncil According to the Land Registry the section up for auction (WSX64824) only has one owner: EGTC since 11 September 1998.
It is definitely land locked with no vehicular access.

The land has restricted covenants on it which will restrict what someone can and cannot do with it.

The area appears to be landlocked, so any potential buyer does not have access to the land.

1/2 ⚠️Damage to the third rail, the rail that powers trains, means buses are replacing @SouthernRailUK and @TLRailUK trains between #EastGrinstead and #Oxted. Buses are also running between #ThreeBridges and #EastGrinstead.

As well as damage to the third rail 30 insulator pots, ceramic pots which support the third rail and stop power leaking into the ground, have been damaged.

Our maintenance teams are on site and repairs are underway.

We are very sorry for the disruption to journeys and are working as quickly as possible to fix the damage. Disruption is expected to last until the end of the day.

@AboutEG There are differences between councils too. Apparently some don't allow passes before 9:30, whilst others do. So a cross county bus route has different rules.

The 9:30 bus was known as the "Twirly Bus" - "Am I too early?"
