Acting President of the Federal Republic of Somalia and Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Hon.@Amohamednur attended the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China here in Mogadishu.
#SomaliaChina.
Somalia and China share a longstanding friendship and strategic partnership, built over more than six decades on mutual respect, solidarity, and shared interests.
It was an honour to join today’s celebration commemorating the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. On the occasion of China’s National Day, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Government and people of China, with sincere wishes for continued peace, prosperity, and progress.
China remains a valued friend and partner of Somalia. We look forward to further deepening our mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and investment, infrastructure, education, technology, institutional development, and people-to-people ties.
Looking ahead, Somalia is committed to elevating this enduring friendship into an even stronger and more dynamic partnership, one that embraces new opportunities, advances our shared interests, and delivers lasting benefits for our peoples. Together, we look toward a future of deeper cooperation, shared prosperity, and a common commitment to peace, stability, and sustainable development.
Human rights are more than words on paper; they are about the dignity, security, and hope of every Somali.
In my meeting today with the Independent National Human Rights Commission, I underscored the responsibility entrusted to the Commission: to stand with the mother who has suffered injustice, the child whose rights have been denied, the prisoner who has been mistreated, and every citizen seeking justice.
The dignity of every Somali is inviolable, and protecting it is a responsibility we all share. The Somali people expect the Commission to uphold its independence, act with fairness, and stand firmly for the rights of all.
The responsibility is immense, and the trust placed in the Commission is a solemn duty. Let justice guide your work, the law be your compass, and the Somali people remain at the heart of your service.

Attending the last day of the @DohaForum was an enlightening experience, marked by the presence of high-caliber global leaders and intellectuals. Hosted by His Highness
@TamimBinHamad, the Amir of #Qatar, the forum served as a pivotal platform for dialogue on some of the most critical challenges facing our world today. Discussions ranged from geopolitical tensions and peace processes to the existential threat of climate change. The diversity of perspectives was both a testament to #Qatar's role as a mediator on the global stage and a reflection of the complex, interconnected nature of modern-day issues.
The atmosphere was charged with a sense of urgency and hope as leaders from various sectors - politics, economics, technology, and academia - came together to share insights and strategies. Panels and roundtables delved into topics like sustainable development, cybersecurity threats, and the reconfiguration of global trade networks post-pandemic. What stood out was the collective commitment to not only understand these multifaceted challenges but also to collaborate on actionable solutions. The @DohaForum, in its essence, underscored the importance of dialogue in an era where unilateral actions no longer suffice in addressing global crises. It was an honour to witness this convergence of minds and to see firsthand how international cooperation can be fostered in such a dynamic setting. #Qatar #Somalia #Diplomacy, #Dialogue, #Diversity
