We want you to know about the signs and symptoms of #MetastaticBreastCancer so we are sharing our infographics that highlight what you should be aware of if you have had a primary breast cancer diagnosis.
These infographics are signposted by NHS England and used worldwide. They are translated into 12 languages.
We know that it can be hard to even think about a recurrence and MBC, but knowledge is power, and if you have any of these symptoms please speak to your medical team. Advocating for yourself is the most important thing you can do for yourself.
As we are focusing on awareness one of METUPUK's key aims, we'd be interested to start seeing your stories on how your #secondarybreastcancer was diagnosed and what signs you think people ought to be looking for.
Use the #2ndsonthe2nd and we'll share your posts.
Here's the link to the infographics https://t.co/BYIlnQqrTX

I am happy that we have been funded to understand the impact of race and ethnicity on Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) by dissecting the tumor microenvironment from @NIH@theNCI. Excited that we can contribute to understanding why Native Hawaiians have a high incidence of IBC.
Please join me in #WearItOrange today for #inflammatorybreastcancer awareness. We have chosen orange because one of the symptoms of this rare and aggressive breast cancer is peau d'orange, where the skin on your breast is dimpled like orange peel.
@RCGPAC We’ve had a super first day, many excellent conversations about #InflammatoryBreastCancer
We are the breast cancer few patients have heard about, you may never see a case in your career. Come along to J20 to learn more (and we have chocolate!) 🍊 #RCGPAC24#HopeAlways
@FourteenFish@RCGPAC We are really excited to collaborate with you on an inflammatory breast cancer specific learning module. Thanks for stopping by our booth!
@IamToyinRoberts@RCGPAC Toyin, come and see us on the exhibition floor tomorrow. Booth J20… we have chocolate! (and also lots of helpful information about inflammatory breast cancer)
@ThanksCancer Head on over to our Insta for much less… pink!
Skin changes is a common symptom of inflammatory breast cancer, like orange peel (peau d’orange) 🍊
Mostly affecting younger patients, swelling misdiagnosed as mastitis and often there is no lump

@MartinHGames If you’re minded towards a cancer cause, please consider the smaller, less well known ones or local hospice as an alternative.
Our charity is entirely voluntary and 97 pence of every £1 donated goes directly to fund research (the other 3p covers operational costs)

Am writing an article about what it's like working with cancer. I'm specifically looking to interview someone who was employed during cancer treatment (not self-employed/an entrepreneur). Can anyone help please?
@dannywallace Dear Danny,
If you do do it, would you consider our charity as the beneficiary. Fewer than 2% of all breast cancers are inflammatory breast cancer, but we account for more than 20% of all breast cancer deaths.
Thanks ever so much,
The IBC Network UK
p.s. Yes, we said do do 🧡
A fantastic day for our devoted fundraising crew to complete their ultra challenge. More power to their footsteps! Follow along on Insta🤩 https://t.co/ozbaCaez1N
