Featuring @HsseinMzannar@jannspiess@keyonV Ming Yin
Part of @IDEAL_chicago's Interpretability, Privacy & Fairness program
Submit papers to the Algorithmic Decision Theory conference held @DIMACSCenter in Oct! https://t.co/FkvOOigpg0 The Abstract-Only option does not preclude later publication - e.g., you can send your NeurIPS paper abstract to ADT days later! Invited speakers include @jennwvaughan
Professor @samirkhuller and @northwesterncs students are spending spring break visiting and networking with San Francisco and Bay Area companies.
Thank you for your generous hospitality, @AveryChing and @AptosLabs!
If you are a PhD student in the Chicago area, definitely take advantage of all the great PhD courses offered by faculty of @IDEAL_chicago -- you can most likely take them for credit or audit!

I'm super interested in how algorithms can be regulated from their data. At #CSLAW2024 next week in Boston, we will present "Regulation of Algorithmic Collusion".
Tl;dr: Good algorithms satisfy "calibrated best response"; they can't collude; and it can be checked from data.
At the #CSLAW2024 conference, @liren_shan presented our joint work on "Error-tolerant Classification Protocols", with @JinshuoD and Aravindan Vijayaraghavan.
It develops e-discovery protocols that are efficient, accountable, and minimally disclosive.
