#YuvaSangam2026 #Day3 (June 6, 2026): Connecting with Nature, Heritage, and Leadership: Day-3 of the visit by the Andhra Pradesh delegation reflected the themes of #Paryavaran (Environment), #Parampara (Traditions) and #ParasparSampark (People-to-People Connect)! The day began with a Tree Walk and Tree Plantation drive at #IISERPune campus to appreciate #biodiversity and environmental #sustainability. Delegates explored the rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra through a visit to the iconic #ShaniwarWada and a #HeritageWalk through the historic streets of the Pune City. A special language session by Prof. Sonal Kulkarni-Joshi of Deccan College provided an engaging introduction to Maharashtra’s linguistic heritage. This was followed by enriching interactions with Honourable Ministers Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil and Smt. Madhuri Tai Misal. Shri Patil welcomed the delegates to experience the state of Maharashtra and appreciate both the shared and unique aspects of the two states. Smt Misal shared her perspectives on urban development and encouraged delegates to aim high while remaining connected to their roots. The day concluded with a special Maharashtrian dinner, giving delegates an opportunity to experience the state's rich culinary traditions while strengthening bonds of friendship and cultural exchange.

#YuvaSangam #Day2: The Andhra Pradesh delegation participating in Yuva Sangam-Phase 6, hosted by IISER Pune, had an enriching second day (June 5, 2026) immersed in the cultural, spiritual, and rural fabric of Maharashtra. The day began with a visit to the historic Khandoba Mandir in Jejuri followed by interactions with residents of Adachiwadi village, that has come to be known as Adarsh Gaon (Model Village). Through interactions with the Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat members, and villagers, participants gained valuable insights into #Governance, development initiatives, and community-led #transformation. Activities of the day were designed to meet these goals of the #YuvaSangam programme #Paryatan (tourism), #Pragati (development), and #Parasparsampark

On the occasion of #WorldEnvironmentDay, observed every year on 5 June, the Landscape Committee of the institute organised planting of native tree saplings on campus and set up a special #exhibition showcasing seeds from various tree species from the campus. On display were seeds from a total of 156 tree species!! In addition to seeds from scores of native plants, the exhibition also included seeds from endemic plants, rare, endangered, and threatened #RET plants, and medicinal plants as well. #Kudos to the horticulture team on ensuring green environs for the campus community as well as for conserving biodiversity! #environmentday2026 #sustainability #biodiversity #iiserpunecampus

#YuvaSangam, a cultural exchange programme for the youth as part of #EkBharatShreshthBharat initiative has commenced today at #IISERPune with 42 students from Andhra Pradesh @EBSB_Edumin @EduMinOfIndia @EBSB_YuvaSangam @AICTE_INDIA A warm welcome to all the delegates from across #AndhraPradesh and the accompanying team from @iit_tirupati!!

#YuvaSangam is a flagship programme under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat #EBSB, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aimed at fostering national integration, cultural exchange, and experiential learning among youth across the country.

The state of #Maharashtra is paired with the state of #AndhraPradesh, and #IISERPune and #IITTirupati are the Nodal Institutions from the two states. The Maharashtra student delegation visited Andhra Pradesh for a week in May 2026. Starting today, the Andhra Pradesh delegation will be hosted by #IISERPune for visiting Maharashtra for a week.

TITLE - 'AXL receptor tyrosine kinase regulates Golgi organization and function via an adhesion-Arf1 signaling axis in breast and lung cancer cell lines'

The image shows an MDAMB231 cell in which the receptor tyrosine kinase AXL (magenta) localizes to membrane ruffles (cyan overlay), and GM130-labeled Golgi (green). These two AXL pools contribute to cell function. The cyan overlay on the membrane ruffles was done using an image-editing tool.

Today, we celebrated the graduation of 363 students as part of the 13th #Convocation of #IISERPune✨✨🎓 Chief Guest Shri Sanjay Kirloskar delivered an inspiring #ConvocationAddress. He said that long-term success is built through disciplined, science-based decision-making and a commitment to societal relevance. IISER Pune Board of Governors #BoG Chairperson Shri M. Madan Gopal (IAS) spoke about the achievements of the institute members, the transformation India is witnessing, and encouraged all to be part of nation building. Director Prof. Sunil S. Bhagwat noted the strides being made by #IISERPuneAlumni in their chosen fields and urged the graduates to carry on this legacy and a culture of #excellence. Our best wishes to the graduates and their families many of whom traveled to the campus to celebrate this special day together!
