Game theory advice:
Whenever you plan something grand, do not start planning from the beginning (t=0). Start at the end, at the final state you wish to reach. From there, you will now go backwards. Constantly ask yourself, "What do I need to do to get there?" and break the large goal down into smaller steps. This method is called backward induction, and it works particularly well when you lack direction. You will be able to work toward your goals with unmatched clarity.

Nobody teaches men that life runs on game theory. Not as an abstract concept but literally how every negotiation, deal, and relationship plays out.
The first rule is whoever needs the outcome least has the power. It's why the guy who's desperate for the deal gets a worse price than the guy who can walk. It's why chasing money directly makes you worse at getting it and why people say yes to things they should say no to.
That's why leverage matters more than cash imo. Leverage is optionality. It's having enough going for you that you never have to take the first offer.
Epictetus was born a slave. He owned almost nothing. Yet he argued that your character is the only possession no one can take from you. Whether someone agrees with every Stoic idea or not, it’s a powerful reminder that dignity isn’t purchased.
You are admired only when you win. Until then, you are tolerated at best, mocked at worst, and invisible in between. This is the law of existence: success or contempt. The world does not pity the unsuccessful man, it condemns him.
