@askGST_GoI@RBI@rblbank@cbic_india 4. Are they lawfully right in using their "Right to Recovery" for GST collection without providing any services/goods to the customers?
Dear officials,
How come banks are allowed to forcefully collect the GST from customers and deposit the same to GST Dept however no actual delivery of services/goods is made. Isn't it a violation of section 32 of CGST ACT 2017? @askGST_GOI@RBI@rblbank@cbic_india
@askGST_GoI@RBI@rblbank@cbic_india 3. Many Banks like RBL Bank are following the same practice. Banks are using their “right to recovery” to forcefully collect GST from customers and pay the same to government. This helps them increase their sales. Is this an ethical practice to increase sales by Banks?
@askGST_GoI@RBI@rblbank@cbic_india 2. Can a seller forcefully collect the GST from customers and deposit the same to government and count it as his sales however no actual delivery of Goods/services is made?
@askGST_GoI@RBI@rblbank@cbic_india 1. Is this practice of not issuing credit note to customers and waiving off the charges against credit points valid as per the GST Law, 2017?
@askGST_GoI@RBI@rblbank@cbic_india If you think on a larger scale, this practice of non reversal of GST is helping the banks to increase their book sales in lakhs and crores.
@askGST_GoI@RBI@rblbank@cbic_india This is in accordance with the guidelines of government of India and is subject to change". I asked them to issue a credit note to me. They ignored my request.
@askGST_GoI@RBI@rblbank@cbic_india I asked for the reason for such non reversal of GST. They replied "We would like to inform you that G.S.T levied is government tax which has been paid to government and is applicable on interest/charges/ fee levied on the card account and we are unbale to reverse the same.
@askGST_GoI@RBI@rblbank@cbic_india@rblbank deducted a membership fee of Rs. 999 plus GST from my credit card balance. I informed them that this deduction is not valid because I was promised for non-deduction of any such charges at the initial stage. They reversed the membership fee of Rs. 999 without GST
