That's dumb. Capitalism is a catalyst for industry, but socialism is the retention of humanity when industry takes too much control.
@FinancialPhys I could. I actually have a spreadsheet of every dollar I made and spent over the last three years.
Bills have gone up 10% but all other spending is up 2.2%.
Over three years, that's not a bad result.
Do more.
There's no better teacher than action. Because with every action there is a reaction.
And with every reaction comes results.
And with every result comes analysis.
And every analysis comes with a conclusion.
And every conclusion leads to an evolution in understanding
I am not a socialist, but I agree with some socialist principles.
I am not a capitalist, but I believe in some capitalist ideas.
It is not left or right. It is "what is best for our people to stay healthy, be smarter and enjoy more of the little amount of life we have?"
@Olking07 $500k is way too expensive. Very reasonable homes start at $250k out of the cities and $300k in a city.
If he lives in or around a major city, that's a different story. Wages and expenses start inflating in high density zones.
@Owennfa I appreciate your take. I think student loans as a concept is ridiculous
HOWEVER
Interest rates have been proven to be the key motivator for loans to be issued and to be paid.
No one wants to lend money without a return
And borrowers want to pay the least interest
