@D_M_SLaw Many prisoners choose solitary confinement instead of being in an environment with other inmates. Solitary confinement has changed so much throughout the years as well. Many inmates receive many things that help with their well being such as education and food. #hld2018
When people are told to do something or punished for not doing it, they are more likely to rebel and not do that task at all. If criminals are treated with solitary confinement, they will just be angrier and worse. #hld2018
@yourHJEN Yes, this punishment should be dependant on the severity of the offenders crime. Solitary confinement would be a good substitution for the death penalty. It would also provide relief to the victims family since they have received proper restitution. #hld2018
However, solitary confinement affects a prisonerโs both, physical and mental health. Their physical health is affected because theyโre not receiving proper nutrients such as Vitamin D and their mental health is affected as theyโre locked up in a dull/gloomy room 23hrs #hld2018
@kovljenicana Dangerous offenders get the punishment of solitary confinement. If they arenโt isolated from society, they can be extremely dangerous for the public #hld2018
@yourHJEN students need to know that SM reflects who you are as a person & make sure they know what accounts to keep public and which to keep private
