We're wondering if your opinions on privacy change when you consider how media companies (e.g. Insta, Google) make money off of the private messages you send?

@SalmanxMusa @bubblegumdealer #HLD2019 Interesting, what does a "pre-existing obligation or arrangement" mean to you? Is it a formal agreement b/w sender and receiver? Is it based on the way the message is sent?

@bubblegumdealer Interesting, what should we do in the interim until those laws are created? Also should we be worried about having private companies (like Facebook) acting as an arm of the government by monitoring our messages?

@CukMihaila I wonder how your position is reconciled with the idea of rehabilitation & "time served". Cdn criminal sentencing hopes that convicted persons will face consequences but will also learn from their actions. Should we assume rehabilitation won't happen and forever limit them?

@SalmanxMusa @bubblegumdealer This is interesting, are you saying social media platforms w/ monitoring policies (Facebook, Twitter) have an obligation to flag "criminal" messaging for police? Lots of criticism of media platforms slow & selective responses to fake news & harassment, would they do a good job?
