We are delighted to share that the Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS), developed through a collaboration between @aiims_newdelhi, @INDIACCDC, and @clinallyhealth, has been recognized at the AP MedTech Innovation Challenge, an initiative supported by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to identify and scale promising healthcare innovations.

Among 297 HealthTech and MedTech applications, the #CDSS was selected for pilot implementation in Andhra Pradesh and deployed at the District Hospital, Parvathipuram, to support evidence-based management of #hypertension and #diabetes.

Following the pilot, our technology partner ClinAlly received the 2nd Runner-Up Award for the CDSS innovation, recognizing its potential to strengthen guideline-based care through digital health solutions.

Supported by the @AyushmanNHA and integrated with ABDM-compliant digital health platforms and the NIC NextGen eHospital system, the CDSS initiative continues to advance the delivery of standardized, evidence-based care for non-communicable diseases.

This recognition reflects the power of collaboration among clinicians, researchers, government partners, and technology teams in building scalable solutions that strengthen health systems and improve patient outcomes.

Last week, Dr Poornima Prabhakaran, with Dr. Kalpana Balakrishnan and Areejit Samal, jointly convened a virtual Town Hall with the "Global Exposure Forum" on “Understanding Exposomics for Lifecourse Health and Ageing: An Indian perspective for a Viksit Bharat". The insightful dialogues featured renowned global and regional experts who deliberated on the science of “Exposomics” and global events like the #GlobalHumanExposome initiative.

The webinar featured Gary W. Miller- Columbia University, Prof Thomas Hartung and Prof Fenna Sillé- Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT), Dr Soumya Swaminathan- M S Swaminathan Research Foundation, Prof Anurag Agrawal- Ashoka University, Dr. Kalpana Balakrishnan- Sri Ramachandra Institute Of Higher Education and Research and Dr Poornima Prabhakaran who dwelt on current state of science globally and in India, #dataframeworks and the need for collaborative partnerships for meaningful outcomes from #exposomicsresearch.

The webinar was further enriched by a panel discussion on challenges and opportunities for exposomics research in India. Prof Shinjini Bhatnagar- Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Rima Habre, ScD- University of Southern California, Vinay Nandicoori- Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Chirag Patel- Harvard University and Prof Dorairaj Prabhakaran- Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC), joined the panel, which was moderated by Prof Fenna Sillé Sille- John Hopkins University and Areejit Samal- IMSc Chennai.

The Global Exposome Forum is an international coalition of regional governments, multi-national institutions, NGOs, and research collaboratives. GEF exists in response to the current moment in which exposomics is reaching full scientific maturity and now requires political and social investment and acceptance to make an impact and radically redefine public health.

By bringing science, policy, and society into conversation, the Forum supports a more coordinated, synchronous, truly global approach to advancing exposomic research and positive impact on health and society. The event culminated with the official launch of the India Regional chapter of the Global Exposome Forum, which marks a formal beginning to advance exposomics research in India in a truly collaborative way.

As a lead-up to the "World Environment Day" on June 5th, a colourful corner for thriving climate action is parked at the headquarters of the @INDIACCDC today. Championing the theme of "Inspired by nature- for Climate, for our future", we are borrowing ideas from our team this week for a sustainable future.

For decades, the world has heard the climate story warnings, targets, and distant deadlines. Too often, the response has been clouded by noise: delay, distraction, denial. The Environment Day and campaigns around it help propagate the extent of damage to the planet and the mitigation efforts to be prioritised.

This World Environment Day focuses on climate change, the urgent signals the Earth is sending, and the signals we choose to send back. @UNEP's global campaign calls on all of us to step in, to move further, to steer a world already in motion. The question is no longer if change comes, but how we guide it and how fast it happens.

Join us this week as we highlight our projects, research and findings as we continue to champion this cause.

Organised by Dr BorjaI banez, Scientific Director of CNIC, the event will bring together international experts and CNIC investigators to discuss key dimensions of cardiovascular prevention, from global public health strategies and environmental determinants to advanced cardiovascular imaging, primordial prevention, cardiometabolic risk, and data-driven risk stratification.

NIHR Global Health Research Centre for Multiple Long-Term Conditions is inviting interested candidates to apply for a fully funded MSc in Medical Statistics at the @uniofleicester.

This postgraduate degree will give candidates all the expertise they need to become a practising medical statistician. Candidates will cover all relevant theory but with an emphasis on understanding, applying and adapting it to real-life circumstances.
