This is partly true, but not entirely. Irungu Kang'ata and Wamatangi have been building and equipping hospitals as governors in Murang'a and Kiambu counties. In Luo Nyanza, we keep cheering Orengo and Wanga for politicking, useless activism and bravado, and abusing abusing each other 24/7. Ten years from now, Kiambu and Murang'a will have better schools, markets, roads and hospitals, then we say it's because of Kikuyu privilege. How many rallies have Orengo attended in 2026 compared to Wamatangi?
Secondly, we used to say Ndindi Nyoro used his position as the chair of budget committee in parliament to unfairly develop Kiharu. Nearly two years later since he was replaced with Atandi, name any meaningful development Atandi has done in Alego Usongo apart from hiring goons, looking down upon residents, and moving from one brothel to another with women with loose morals.
Elvis Otieno, fondly known as Beast, was an exceptional young Kenyan who embraced the ideals of good governance early in life. As a student at the Technical University of Mombasa, he dedicated his energy and voice to advocating for comrades, believing that leadership and public service could improve lives.
His passing is a profound loss to his family, friends, colleagues, and the wider student movement in Kenya.
I extend my deepest condolences to his family, the Technical University of Mombasa community, and, in a special way, to university students and their elected leaders across the country.
May you find strength in this difficult moment, and may Elvis' commitment to leadership, service, and the pursuit of a better society continue to inspire many more young people.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
There is something powerful about being in a room full of young people who move with purpose.I had an engagement with Changamwe Visionaries Organization.
Together with the Subcounty administrator Changamwe constituency and officers from the department of Serikali mtaani,we held fruitful tconversation that holds potential towards a bigger dream, shared commitments and a better Mombasa.
In a significant step towards modernizing land administration and enhancing revenue collection, the County Government of Mombasa, Department of Lands, convened a strategic meeting with senior representatives from the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA).
The discussions centred on reconciling land rates and property records, particularly for KPA-owned and managed assets within Mombasa County. Both parties reviewed existing records and explored mechanisms for accurate data sharing and verification.
This engagement forms part of a wider county-wide initiative to comprehensively update the valuation roll, which is a critical source of revenue for the County.
