Hi @triclassified when you said in Episode 186 on Five Eyes you were taking four eyes to Five Guys for dinner, it reminded me of this community contribution

@pinstripedline I remember my carefully polished boots melting on a passing out parade at Sandhurst over 25 years ago, plus a few heat casualties. Glad to see we have learned so much about weather adjustment!
On the theme of hotels, the government - @DefenceHQ - would do well to enforce an estate-wide accommodation availability and booking system rather than have empty rooms hoarded and hidden to avoid the inconvenience of visitors in 'my' mess.

Turns out governments can do things if they have the willpower. We should do likewise (without the gators) and stop spending taxpayers hard earned on hotels
Similarly building dedicated military 'hotels' for the main areas like RAF Lincolnshire, London etc rather than private provision. (And it doesn't have to be as shit as the Pink Palace)
Amazing footage showing the launch of ballistic missiles earlier today by Iran against Israel, from the cockpit of a commercial aircraft flying over Dubai.
⚡️🇵🇰Very impressive breakdown by Pakistan Airforce spokesman Ahmed Aurangzeb of the 'largest air battle in history' that allegedly took place yesterday.
@thewarzonewire A sensor system, developed with serious customer investment by Leonardo, is credibly claimed to detect and track radar-stealthy aircraft.
It doesn't work when developed in the US by, errm, the company who makes those aircraft.
Just. Fancy. That.
Chapeau for this aerial #backronym, US Army ISR Task Force!

Ooopss? Su-57 shoots down Okhotnik deep in Ukrainian airspace. Fratricide or destruction of unresponsive UAS? Either way, time for some nice exploitation opportunities.

This is a great article explaining the development pathway and current testing of "Radar 2" advanced AESA for Royal Air Force Typhoons (Read beyond the headline)
Note the gushing hyperbole from RAF seniors in paragraph 7!

Not sure I completely agree with the analysis on how cautiously Ukraine would operate AEW when it is a critical enabler to manoeuvre and SA. Russia will still face an air threat to any of its OCA efforts https://t.co/fRChn4DknD
Between 1980 and 1994 the Royal Navy submarine service conducted over 130 highly classified missions to gather intelligence or covert operations. Even though the files are closed, it is still possible to draw some significant conclusions from the archives. /1
Necessity may be the mother of invention but its Ukrainian siblings are cunning, innovation and guile. Its cousin is probably an agile industrial base.
Ukrainians put 8,000 cellphones connected to microphones on 6-foot poles around the country to detect incoming Russian drones. They detected 84/84 and shot down 80 of them with AA guns. Cost: $500ea
