@joserrapa Fascinating thread... I will have to read the whole article. When I played with a few models, I found it will try to appease you rather than critically think. We have to be careful on how we use them but I expect the models to get smart especially if trained well.

Either we haven't figured out secondary mechanisms that provide mortality benefits (Pro Dr. Lee) or it is the dosing/safety (Pro Dr. Spellberg). Either way cefazolin is SOC for SAB. @ABsteward Monte Carlo, PK/PD studies are good for creating rcts not guidelines. Have I used them in patientcare ? Yes, but when I had absolutely no evidence and I wanted to support my guess. @IDSAInfo needs some soul searching when it comes to publishing guidelines.
