You are trying very hard to negate the person Trump has always been because you were conned and can't admit it. Many people have disliked Trump for decades, not just the last 10 years--you just started paying attention. Personally I have found fault in the man, and his cons since the mid 1980's
Nope, the silence is because I had initially responded and then you continued on a tirade of absolute rhetoric, little based on facts and played the victim, very MAGA of you. You proved that facts are not relevant to you, but your devotion to Trump and rhetoric is, that's simply not worth my time.
You also did a great job of twisting what I said to David Cassidy in to an attack on you, when I called him out you got super offended and started capping for him. I prefer facts, you don't, and clearly have some sort of intellectual damage, I hope the VA is compensating you for it.
OBTW, I do know exactly how commissions work. It's sad if your dad was one of the "197" Officers Obama decommissioned, I'm sure I can find him on the Breitbart list (which has been debunked), or on the multiple other lists that list all the Officers decommissioned by Obama over five years, of which not one was less than BG level. Are we ignoring the BG level and above folks that Trump and Hegseth have removed in the last six months for not fitting their agenda? As said as it seems all officers serve at the convenience of the President, and all enlisted serve at the convenience of the officers appointed (key word) over them. As a supposed former officer yourself you should know that the acceptance of a commission is at the whims of the civilians the top. Enlisted folks cannot be directly removed from the top, they have to have documentation (made up or not), an officer can be decommissioned by the governor or the President (depending on if Active/Reserve/Guard) saying so.
No, my tolerance isn't very high, which is why we are here. I do not gauge anyone's decision or opinion based on their lack of or actual military service. I do call out those who do, especially when they pretend to have served. Like bullshit, I'm not big on stolen valor. The point of my initial reply wasn't to cop for Stephen King, but to point out that the "gotcha" the person I replied to (not you unless you have multiple accounts) isn't the own he thinks it is, because his source of King having not served is King himself (via the bio on his site, so technically his wife Tabitha). King hasn't (as far as I can see) ever pretended he served or spoke of his "own personal veitnam. "
While we served under Presidents who did not (as is the vast majority), I luckily did not serve under a President that denigrated those who did/are serving. Hopefully you can say the same, but to do so you would have had to have left the service prior to January 20, 2017.
@CulperCast@David_Cassidy3@StephenKing Not clear who you are asking, but I served and did not say anything about if people could or couldn't disagree. Many people though do talk big, but haven't served--typically have the "I would have, but the DI* would probably have gotten knocked out" attitude.

@TeddyTheCorg@StephenKing 3/3 and registration for future conscription (draft) was made mandatory for all men between 18 and 25. Just because there hasn't been a draft since 1973 doesn't mean there couldn't be one tommorow.
@TeddyTheCorg@StephenKing 2/3 until 1973 conscription (being available to be drafted and unvolunteered for military service) was the law of the land. In 1973 the US Military transitioned to a all volunteer force, with no requirement to register. In 1980 the Selective Service was established...
@ssikfandk@StephenKing Big difference, Biden's deferments were actually educational and truly medical. Apparently so were King's (according to his own website and AI) Trump's were paid for false reports.
@TheGarner@emmacnicholson Most people who have served, especially in a security position, and knows anything about OpSec knows there are times that you are guarding absolutely nothing for the appearance of something.
@tutticontenti@RepRaskin Let's pretend that this is true (it's a stretch at best). Why is Trump using these facilities, and they are worse than his first term, when he also used them?
