@chrisbanes My best one is super simple... I change the function of my lounge main light switch depending on the time of the day.
During daytime, it just turns on/off the main light at 100%. After 5pm, it comes on at 35% but the lamps in the room also come on (and off). Easy mood lighting
@British_Airways And Qatar do *not* help with support requests for "BA Flights or BA bookings". Why sell tickets you can't support? What do I tell my family why we can't recover our holiday? I'm only asking for an email which says we didn't fly. Not a refund, nothing of value to BA. ๐
@British_Airways I'm really struggling to get help with a simple request of a no fly letter...
My kid was hospitalised the morning of our flight, and we missed what was meant to be a very special holiday. I've filled out forms, called customer care, contacted complaints, but...
@British_Airways But Qatar have stated they can't help me. I paid *you* so it's your responsibility. It's a BA booking, on a flight with a BA flight number, and BA took my money. It should be BA that help me resolve this issue
@British_Airways Thanks, and I've tried, twice. Both times, I've been told "Contact Qatar" even though I've said Qatar won't help me (since it's a BA booking with a flight with a BA code). I even raised a complaint detailing all of this, and was told to use that same form (again). ๐ญ
nothing.
I booked via BA, it had a BA flight number, but was a Qatar flight. Qatar will not help, since I paid via BA. Every response from BA is "talk to Qatar".
Why is it impossible to get a simple no fly letter?!??! We're at risk of losing our holiday because of this!!!
Iโve started a new company - Unblocked
Weโre eliminating the countless hours developers spend in meetings, dealing with interruptions and searching for documents as they look for answers to questions about their codebase.

If anyoneโs looking for a Test Engineer, please reach out. I'm a former Sr Test Engineer, with experience in regression testing, functional testing, UX testing, test plans, and stakeholder management.
Incredibly sad to hear that a lot of my old friends and colleagues have been let go. These are some of the most talented individuals out there. Let me know if you're hiring and want any referrals.

@mabouza I recognise many of those faces ๐ Hope you're having a blast (that moustache is awesome @blundell_apps , don't let anyone tell you otherwise!)
I asked my kid today if there's anything I could be doing to be a better father... He said I could cook more pizza. Sounds like I've been slipping recently. ๐
@blundell_apps@ottomate@myenergiuk@OctopusEnergy Yeah, so Octopus Outgoing Fixed would get you 15p / kWh. I guess since it's not currently compatible with an EV tariff, you have to work out which is more important. Buying cheap electricity or getting the best price for your excess.
Probably buying cheaper given I'm in Scotland
@blundell_apps@ottomate@myenergiuk@OctopusEnergy An EV tariff? I was hoping to switch but also read about Outgoing Octopus which states:
>Currently, you can't be on both Outgoing Octopus and any EV tariff at the same time.
