@Argos_Online Hi, your chatbot @ArgosHelpers is unable to help me, but refuses to admit this. Is there any way I can communicate with a human? I need to cancel an order pre-delivery, but I placed the order as a guest i.e. I don't have an account.
Excited to start my new role as Lecturer @uclnpp! Big plans for student-centered research next year ๐ธ. Kicking things off today with a lecture on sustainability in lab science @SustainableUCL. Let's go!

1. @uclnpp had an inspiring day with @CureGrin on 2nd March @IOE_London, hosting their latest #MeetandGRI event. Over 100 patients, families and researchers gathered to exchange knowledge and drive forward research at the UKโs largest ever GRI disorder meeting!
2. An amazing group of families representing multiple GRI genes attended #GRIN1#GRIN2A#GRIN2B#GRIA2#GRIA4. Plans to launch a new UK-based charity #GRI-UK were announced โ exciting times! Hopefully, the first of many regular UK events.
Sensational work on #GRIA3 Disorder by @AllanBayat, Berardo Rinaldi, Anders Kristensen and colleagues. An excellent blueprint for future studies on genetic diseases of the AMPA receptors.

Delighted to share our open-access paper on #GRIA3, an X-linked neurodevelopmental disorder.
Before this paper, females were considered healthy carriers & limited data was available on affected males. What we found, was pretty cool...๐

#Methane is a potent greenhouse gas. A strain of bacteria has been found that eats methane even when it is present at relatively low concentrations. By 2050, the microbe could keep 240 million tons of methane out of the atmosphere. In PNAS: https://t.co/K11qb8CX6w

We demonstrate a clear benefit of using NASPM intracellularly, rather than spermine, to identify the calcium-permeability of synaptic AMPARs - auxiliary subunits no longer confuse the issue.
Incredibly pleased, proud and honored to be awarded a GRI Patient Impact Award at the @CureGRIN conference 2023! What an amazing few days engaging with scientists, clinicians, families, and, of course, patients.
congrats to @IanDCoombs and the farrant/cull-candy lab in @uclnpp and @uclbiosciences for their paper in elife! they describe an improved functional approach to identify the presence of the important calcium-permeable form of AMPA-type glutamate receptor: https://t.co/j8fI0VywXX
