@ULConfession Seen a few confessions like this, there's a trend of them. So you're not alone in the experience anyway. Do you feel like you're having to play up only your best sides to everyone? That's a lonely, full time job.
@RewildingIre 3. The underwhelming positive value understood from the public perspective. I think generally people accept there's an ecological benefit here. But it's vague to most what that means, whereas planting trees and litter-picking we tend to feel safer and more certain about.
@RewildingIre 2. The inevitable wolf/livestock interaction (or half-way credible wolf/human scare) is going to give pretty much uncontestable ammo to the anti-wolf lobby. Look at our historic animosity with lesser predators, and then multiply that. Wolves are the 'Big Bad', literally.

@ULConfession I'll take a shot. Kind of sounds like you're feeling like you have to keep up a strong performance for your friends, college, girlfriend etc, and you feel alone because part of you is vulnerable, emotional and exhausted, and there's nowhere you feel safe to express that. It's ok
