@ianbremmer I would have thought it obvious that if aid is directly responsible for keeping some people alive, and you remove that aid, then it is killing people. If people die as a direct result of an action, then the action has killed them.

The ancient Greeks were as ethically switched on as we are. They just had different moral views on slavery, homsexuality, women's rights etc.

@ALifeAfterTech @max10_31 @gcarlatthevista Imo viable foetuses should never be aborted. Abnormal foetuses are aborted to save the mother from the emotional damage of carrying a doomed pregnancy to term. It's still the mother's choice.

Up skirting for example, or the availability of abortificants on-line. This is my main criticism of Christian morality, grounded in Bronze Age goat herding

@DougBPenhall @luvmyjaide Sunshine, there are two issues here. Is abortion moral? and should abortion be legal. Given that most people want it to be legal, then it always will be legal in a democracy. You lose there. Is it moral? Your opinion is no, imo yes. No winners or losers on moral questions.

@DougBPenhall @luvmyjaide Nope. I'm not saying that abortion is legal because it is moral, though imo it is. Nor am I saying it is moral because most people think it is moral, though they do. Abortion is legal because people vote for it to be legal and when it is legal, society works better.
