Liberia is proud to participate in the International Conference on the Implementation of the #NewYorkDeclaration for a #TwoStateSolution convened by France & Saudi Arabia. The path way to peace in the region is the full recognition of the right of the State of Palestine and the State of Israel to exist as neighbors in peace and prosperity.

Honored to have President Boakai @WhiteHouse, meeting with President @realDonaldTrump & other African counterparts. President Trump’s comment on President Boakai’s “beautiful English” simply acknowledged #Liberia's familiar American-rooted accent & no offense was taken. (1/2)
As I shared w/ @CNN https://t.co/tr4mvEx9Wr, our linguistic heritage is deeply American‑influenced, & this was simply recognized by @realDonaldTrump. We remain committed to strengthening Liberia‑U.S. ties, built on mutual respect, shared values, and meaningful partnership. (2/2)
Hon. Ibrahim Al-Bakari Nyei, PhD, Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Liberia, on APRM:
"Liberia commends the APRM Continental Secretariat's ongoing reforms. We thank the APRM for selecting Liberia for a review this year. We urge member states to support the APRM review process, as it offers the continent's only home-grown, viable, and independent governance and economic management assessment."

In 1970 Liberia called for an end to the use of veto powers and reform of the decision-making process at the UN Security Council. More than 50 years on, this call remains relevant and very credible as recent developments at the UNSC show.
Congratulations to all newly elected members of the UNSC. Hopefully, we will all work together to confront our common global challenges and deliver peace and prosperity for all.
