For those wondering...
This is not a joke.
I will go to Brazil.
Our studio exists because of the people of Brazil. A long while back we chose to localize the prices of our games to be ~65% off in Brazil. I found that the amount of piracy in the country was very high but only because games were too expensive there. By reducing the price we effectively nullified piracy for our games there.
Brazil responded to this by being our best selling region. As of now they are ~25% of our overall income from game sales. Everything I do today I do because Brazil supported us throughout all of this.
Localize your games.
Localize your prices.
Don't sleep on Brazil. 🇧🇷❤️
Ouai tout le monde, j’ai une request. Je cherche des builders sur Minecraft pour un projet relié à ma musique et plus précisément à mes instruments que je construis. J’ai 0 moyens mais le projet est bien cool. Une idée @aypierre ?

I just finished Two-Pass Occlusion Culling similar Nanite's. This gave me ~30% performance boost.
My Vulkan engine now renders 100K objects (~1.5 billion total triangles) in ~2.5ms. Frame time drops to 0.2ms when there is a big occluder on screen.

The problem with TypeScript isn’t performance, it’s that it isn’t very smart.
Instead of porting TSC to a native language, it’s time to build something better. Design it around improved inference and parallelism. Lots of potential!
We've seen the requests to provide more context regarding our decision to consider WASI and related efforts harmful, and created a summarizing document with more background. We hope that our perspective on matters can help to turn WebAssembly to the better.https://t.co/E2NlM2uByb
I've decided to start a new YouTube channel called "Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games."
It launches...right now!
Subscribe today and you can brag (?) about being one of the very first to join me on this new endeavor. I'll share more details soon!

I was talking to a high school student interested in a certain technology and I suggested she try reading some papers about it. I told her to look on Sci-Hub. How broken is it that the default advice for a young student interested in research is to use a "pirate" web site?
We feel honored and proud that developers ranked Rust as the "most loved" language in the Stack Overflow Developer Survey for the 7th year running! We tied for "most wanted" with Python, and usage grew to 9% from 7% last year. We hope to welcome even more of you in the future! 🥰
