try it here: https://t.co/lFEWKZoKfR

Numbers are from my M1 Pro, same account in both apps. Memory is macOS footprint (median of 3 runs), launch is time until the window shows up on a warm start. Built it solo with a lot of help from Claude, Codex and friends.

I wanted a better Telegram client, so I built one.

It's called Quill. on mac it opens about 4x faster than Telegram Desktop and uses about a 3x-5x less memory. The whole UI runs on the GPU with @zeddotdev 's GPUI + gpui-kit.

more cool stuff: HDR photos support, superb RTL language support, optional local agentic control (MCP)

Free, open source, and it runs on Mac, Windows and Linux. ready to try:

@pioner_dev thanks for building it, it's really great! FYI the traffic lights are not showing up on the latest macOS beta

Would you like to have this “Color Glass” icon option for iOS 26 ?
