@rsf31@IHSA_IL Non-boundaried schools have an advantage. To spell it out, if you need it spelled out, it means they have no restrictions on where students live to attend their school. Recruiting and free tuition aside, they can draw from anywhere. Hence, the advantage.
Not getting sufficient sleep, hydration, and failure to limit life stressors have stopped more dreams in their tracks than mileage ever has. You’re not overtraining, you’re under recovering.
@hoijim Multiplier should never come off a private. Public can’t recruit or get a waiver for anything when not successful. 600 enrollment as a private. Stop doing this to these kids.
Brimfield Coach Brandon Porter congratulates Joliet Catholic on 2A Sectional Title- thanks his team for a remarkable season- then begs IHSA to prevent further Joliet Catholic vs Brimfield “small school” tourney games.
Under the radar performance by Thomas Harmon of E/B. Third fastest split in all classes of the 4 x 8 (1:53.05) then comes back in the 800 (1:54.77) to finish 3rd by .4. Neither 1 or 2 ran 4 x 8. @ILXCTF @MileSplitIL @hoijim@KurtPegler
@ILXCTF Genisio and Hilby are 2A runners; it was Harmon of Elmwood and Aske of Beacon Academy who were pressing him. Harmon was the runner who almost gunned down RC in the 4 x 8.
Shoutout to Richwood’s girls track team for their 6th place finish at the IHSA state meet. Sprinters carried the day. Lena Jackson took home three medals : 200 m and 4 x 1 and 4 x 2. Get the XC program going and score some distance points.
Women’s Olympic QT for 800m is 1:59.5. Peoria’s Brenna Detra ran 1:59.94 last night ! One of the top athletes of all time from Peoria IMO. The two in front of her are in HS, btw. @hoijim@KurtPegler@BooCurley
Anyone know of any video/picture archives of past state meets (1970s-2000s)?
Think It would be cool to have some type of historical page with this type of stuff.
