💧A Muslim community of around 5,000 people in Jyotinagar Colony, Kolkata, India, has been without running water since July 29.

The disruption followed pipeline work and has been linked by residents to a pending eviction order issued by Kolkata Port authorities.

They said the water supply was intentionally cut, noting that taps immediately outside the colony continue to receive water.

The local BJP MLA, Ritesh Tiwari, who had previously pledged not to assist Muslim constituents, has denied any involvement in the disruption.

Meanwhile, Hindu IPS officers openly participate in Hindu religious ceremonies and organise Hindu events inside their offices, with no comparable outrage.

This is Senior IPS officer C.V. Anand after taking oath as DGP Telangana, with Vedic chants being recited in his office. There are hundreds of similar examples but Muslims didn't outrage over them.
