This is also 100% correct. If you're stuck with an org that's refusing to adapt to reality, I have complete sympathy for some shock therapy. Because the alternative is that the business becomes uncompetitive, customers eventually leave, and everyone is fired.
@dhh@IroncladDev DHH understands something fundamental: technology doesn't reward those who cling to old processes. It rewards those who redefine them.
I respect the responsibility to users. But here's a question: when AI starts designing, writing, testing, and improving its own code, what exactly will make you a software engineer? Your ability to read every line? 😄
Engineers should invent solutions, not compete with machines at reading code.
DHH has a point. The future belongs to people who rethink engineering, not those who insist it must stay the same.
@BouncerForFeed Next up: a calculator that refuses to display numbers you disagree with.
Can't wait to see what other problems from 1998 you'll solve next. 👏
@dhh Exactly! 😂 Give it another year and they'll ban paper straws to save the trees, replace them with plastic to save the oceans, then ban drinking altogether to save the planet. 🤡🌍
We've poured so many upgrades and features into this release it's hard to keep track. Too many, in fact! Should really have been three separate releases. But despite all of that, it's slimmer, lighter, and WAY WAY FASTER TO INSTALL! 🤘
@dhh Now THIS is a game changer! ♥️ I've always felt iPads had so much more potential than what Apple lets us do with them. Imagine turning one into a proper little Omarchy-powered device. That would be awesome. Can't wait to try it out!
@ScienceMagazine@scisignal Really exciting work. Being able to tune G-protein signaling with this level of precision could give researchers a powerful way to study how excitable cells behave—and what goes wrong in disease. Love seeing tools that open up new questions, not just new answers.
@EricTopol@ScienceMagazine This is a remarkable example of research turning into something that could make daily life easier for people with diabetes. Continuous monitoring and more responsive glucose control could be a real step forward. Excited to see where the research goes next!
Thanks for drawing attention to this, DHH. We need more thoughtful, engaged voices willing to challenge failed policies and push for practical solutions. I hope Europe can change course sooner rather than later and build a future grounded in innovation, openness, and common sense.
Practical AI is expanding: OpenAI models and Codex workflows are coming to Google Cloud, while AI-assisted research helps defenders find vulnerabilities. Omarchy 4.5 RC1 adds 50 languages and x86/ARM support. Great progress for builders everywhere!
Omarchy 4.5 RC1 is available as a pre-release ISO for both x86 and ARM, as well as on the RC channel. Absolutely packed with features and improvements. Please help us test it! https://t.co/mpu2KpkbYw
OpenAI models helped researchers—operating as part of our Patch the Planet initiative—discover critical security flaws in PHP, an open-source programming language used to run an estimated 70% of websites.
Over the past two months, we led a coalition of maintainers, researchers, and security providers to prepare fixes and protections ahead of disclosure. This duration was necessary because the fix was quite intricate and required a major change to the PHP engine. Every site using PHP can now safely upgrade their version to stay secure, in addition to applying mitigations from various security vendors.
Due to the severity of these flaws and PHP’s widespread use, we consider this bug to be one of the most impactful vulnerabilities in recent memory. It also marks a new phase, where AI can find security bugs with internet-scale impact.
This is an example of the Defender’s Window in action: to our knowledge, frontier AI was able to find this vulnerability ahead of attackers, giving defenders time to prepare.

OpenAI models are coming to Google Cloud.
We're bringing our frontier models and Codex agentic workflows to Google Cloud's Model Garden, so enterprises can use our technology where they already build.
