منذ الأزل يبحثً الشعب الفلسطيني عن رموز يلتف حولها ، عن قدوة لا تباع ولا تُشترى يسير خلفها ، عن حنجرة صادقة تدافع عنه لأنّها تقاسمه قدره من ساحات الحرب، لا من قاعات المؤتمرات .
لم يختر #وائل_الدحدوح أن يكون تلك الأيقونة .هو الصحفي الأعزل رفعته الفواجع إلى قامة أمّة ، وفقدًا بعد آخر غدا رمز الصبر لشعب بأكمله . الرجل الجبّار لفرط ضعفه الإنساني ، اعتاد أن يتحدّى العدو بإخفاء دمعه . حتمًا سيبكي هذا المساء في عزلته، أمّا الكميرات فقد اعتاد أن يصوّر بها مآسي غيره .دعس على قلبه الأبويّ و وقف صامدًا كجبل أمام الموت ، وهو يخطف هذه المرة ابنه البكر، الذي أورثه لعنة الصحافة في زمن المذابح الفلسطينية. بيد مضمّدة وذراع مكسورة اخترقها الرصاص، أمسك وائل بيد ابنه الشهيد وقبّلها مرارًا ، فيده هي ما نجا من جسد شوّهه الحريق .

.@WHO has managed to get in touch with health professionals at the Al-Shifa hospital in #Gaza.

The situation is dire and perilous.

It's been 3 days without electricity, without water and with very poor internet which has severely impacted our ability to provide essential care.

The constant gunfire and bombings in the area have exacerbated the already critical circumstances.

Tragically, the number of patient fatalities has increased significantly.

Regrettably, the hospital is not functioning as a hospital anymore.

The world cannot stand silent while hospitals, which should be safe havens, are transformed into scenes of death, devastation, and despair.

Ceasefire. NOW.

UN Sec General @antonioguterres has teams leading the humanitarian efforts in Gaza, all of which have lost contact with the outside world:

- There are teams from @UNDP in Gaza which is under @ASteiner

- There is also a team from @UNVolunteers who’s Exec director is @ToilyKurbanov

- @UnicefChief also has multiple teams in Gaza

Any of them should be more than happy to file an official request if that’s what you need on behalf of any of these UN teams for securing Starlink terminals & connections

This is not even about free speech, its about survival at this point.

If you do supply them and Israel blocks their entry, you will have done your part.
