மெட்ராஸ் மாநிலமாக உருவான நவம்பர் 1-ஆம் நாளையும், 'தமிழ்நாடு' எனும் பெயர் சூட்ட பேரறிஞர் அண்ணா அவர்களால் சட்டமன்றத்தில் வரலாற்றுச் சிறப்புமிக்க தீர்மானம் முன்மொழியப்பட்டு நிறைவேற்றப்பட்ட ஜூலை 18-ஆம் நாளையும் இந்த அரசு கொண்டாடும் என்பதை மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.  

சங்கம் கண்ட செம்மொழியின் தாயகமாக, சமத்துவமும், சமூகநீதியும் தழைத்தோங்கி, கல்வியிலும், தொழில்நுட்பத்திலும், திறன்மிகு மனிதவளத்திலும் சிறந்தோங்கும் தமிழ்நாட்டை இந்தியாவின் முதன்மை மாநிலமாக உருவாக்கிட இந்நாளில் உறுதியேற்போம்!

தமிழின் இனிமையும், தமிழரின் உயரியபண்பாடும், மனிதநேய மரபும் தலைமுறைகள் கடந்தும் தழைத்தோங்கட்டும். தமிழ்நாடு உருவாக உழைத்திட்ட தியாக சீலர்களை இந்நாளில் நினைவுகூர்ந்து வணங்கிடுவோம்!
