With great respect I beg to disagree with you Fr Gerald - btw I enjoy listening to your wisdom spiritually and reading your books. Remember, talks or negotiations were still going on both in June before the so called “operation night hammer,” when United States government bombed Iranian suspected nuclear sites. They claimed to have obliterated its capacity to produce the bomb.

Then another attempt to negotiate again on the same topic of nuclear or uranium enrichment by Iran resumed. We have to remember that Iran has the right to have nuclear energy under the UN Convention. All intelligence agencies of US testified that there was no eminent threat posed by Iran. But on February 28, 2026 Israel attacked Iran and United States joined in. Claiming that they thought Iran will retaliate against our interests. So this was kind of preemptive strikes!

Iran was attacked by two military powerful countries and it has a right to defend itself. It a war of choice period!

In my humble conclusion, a just war is justified when there’s eminent danger from the adversary. And that all possible means and ways to resolve the conflict through dialogue/peacefully are exhausted.

Matthew 16:19 if properly read in its context, the transition from your rock/peter/Cephus to I will give you the keys, is a clear indication of Jesus’s intent here. The keys symbolize an office and authority. Jesus was using Isaiah 22: 22-23; where Eliakim took over the place of Shebna as leader in the court of Hezekiah the king. This was a shift from the old Jewish tradition to a new Christian church or kingdom.

The church proposes and appeals to conscious of the leaders. There is so many different ways poverty can be eliminated. Because it is a human creation - artificial. Equatable distribution of wealth doesn’t necessarily mean socialism. It may mean that every economic system or activity should aim at achieving the great good.

Stop the lies Fox News! You don’t know or understand what you’re talking about. Do you know the Nazi reference is false you need to do research about the issue before you speak. The killing of protesters by the Iranian government, is questionable, since Trump admitted that they sent guns to protesters so that they kill the security agents preventing the riots. The Nigerian Islamic killing of Christians is bad but I guess there’s behind closed doors or call it quiet diplomatic activity to solve the problem. The Church approaches issues in many different ways depending on circumstances.

American government is the number one terrorist followed by Israel. They attacked Iraq and killed thousands upon thousands of innocent civilians. America lied about Weapons of Mass Destruction.

They sponsored wars in Syria and Libya and overthrew governments of both countries. Only to replace them with ISIS. Look at Afghanistan, for 20 years America was down there killing and destroying life and property. Only to let Taliban take over ! What an irony! They went to depose the Taliban in the first place and ended up handing power back to them 😳

Every war America engages in is always based on lies.

Do you know what happened to a democratically elected government of Iran in 1953? Why there was a revolution in 1979? Once you educate yourself about that history, then you’ll understand why Iranian people are what they are today!

Put aside the rhetoric and propaganda of your government for a moment and try to reason things out.
