Every year or so her fed supervisor makes a perm post trying to get her hired, but it Always goes to a vet who doesn't last very long bc they need someone who can do her precise skillset.

They def highlight it to try and get people to take the positions. I'd be so mad if I put in the time in such lower wages to get that pension and then they were like 'O, nvm'

@Lillmama16 @clhubes Started making my own stocking when my kids got old enough to notice I never had one and my ex bullied me into not letting him look bad lol.

Make my own now bc why not, but I just put a few things like the candy I'm sharing around, and my sweet grown kids sneak in more stuff.

@mrpepejulian @majacompton @ask_aubry It isn't thrown away. Some is sold to those who do prepare it as offal, and other is used in hot dogs, other processed meats, dog food, etc. Offal was considered poor ppl food and fell out of favor back when the US saw the growth of a large middle class.

@TheMcKenziest They don't even mention the part where PD had the 12k RV she was living in towed as abandoned while she was out getting food, and she couldn't afford the 6k in fines and fees. They exacerbate the problem in so many ways.

@stats_feed Dryer functional technology hasn't really changed, so I use an ancient dryer without any planned obsolescence computer parts.

My 1950s Chambers oven is amazing--a large cast iron box for baking, a well that can slow cook or bake, broiler, griddle, and high finess flame control.

#audible started loading samples after the end. If I wake in the night, I can't just roll over and tap a bookmark anymore. I don't use the timer cus my sleep sucks. Inconvenient money grab. Was so glad to go back when library search was fixed, and now this. 😭

Once a guy grinned after his bike handle hit my butt hard enough to bruise, no apology, then tried to get my number in the station. Post may be fake, but ppl suck.
