@nicolegelinas New housing is never going to be cheaper than comparable older stock. For some reason, this is intuitive to people when it comes to cars but not housing.
Expand supply to meet demand and prices will come down.
@tracewoodgrains It’s worth mentioning that screwworm reached Mexico in 2024, and the US is already moving to combat it with triple the capacity of the old Panama system https://t.co/RDO1zEnv7l
@Take_Artist@agraybee Thats the line that all the Platnerites were pushing starting a few days ago, and ignores that there are 2 other women involved.
And needing to disclose that you dated a Republican operative to the DSCC? I think you do.
@Take_Artist@agraybee The “republican operative” narrative is coming straight from the Platner campaign. Woulda been nice if Platner had told someone that he dated a Republican operative before a few days ago, no?
@atlanticesque State flag redesign obsessives are a pretty uniquely irritating group of progressives - literal “change for change’s sake”. The only state to actually get it right was Mississippi, who had an atrocious old flag and diverged from other recent flag redesigns
@sol_hando@StatisticUrban The city/state also cant build anything that isnt wildly expensive. Finishing the 2av extension and the IBX are way more important than some upzoning dependent speculation in a high car usage neighborhood
@StatisticUrban@razibkhan They could, much more easily based on already existing infrastructure, upzone in neighborhoods across the bronx, brooklyn, and queens, but don’t because of “gentrification” or whatever
@RichardHanania I mean i can “trust” that my laptop wont get stolen if i leave it in public, but that has no bearing on whether or not its getting stolen
