@paxtrader777@shammit1 I didn't know what "cars" referred to either. After doing some research, I got a better understanding: "carlots" is an English logistics and railroad term meaning shipments or quantities large enough to fill one or more railcars. Digging deeper, I even came across an old gem!
This is an old trading card of mine with my full name blocked out.
For 150 yrs trades were recorded on these cards. I held a handful of these in my left hand behind generic cards CME handed out where I wrote all my levels & targets for the day. I traded 2-4k big NQ with thousands more minis without looking at charts during the day. The time for TA was before the market opened and after the market closed, nothing had changed for me. I am paid to react to a plan during the trading day not paid to think.
Polymarket is getting roasted by traders.
MicroStrategy confirmed selling 32 $BTC (May 26–31) which was its first sale since Dec 2022.
But Polymarket plans to resolve the $85M “Did MSTR sell BTC by May 31?” market as NO because the SEC filing came a day late.
Should the sale date or the public disclosure date decide the outcome?
US job openings rose to 7.62 million in April, up from a revised 6.89 million in March, according to BLS data. The figure exceeded the median economist estimate of 6.87 million to reach a near two-year high, while layoffs declined during the month.
BREAKING: Hezbollah officially rejects the US ceasefire proposal calling it "unacceptable," with sirens now sounding in northern Israel from active Hezbollah rocket fire, per Tasnim.
This directly contradicts Trump's false claim earlier today that he spoke to Hezbollah and they agreed to stop all attacks. Netanyahu has told Trump in their call that the moment Hezbollah starts attacking again, Israel will strike Beirut immediately.
Iran said the response to attacks on Beirut would be direct Iranian strikes on northern Israel.
#TreasuriesToday: Yields higher with oil prices by 1bp-3bp. Friday's rally, capping market's best week since February, included lowest yields since mid-May. May index return 0.11%, YTD 0%. $199b coupon settlement ($68b net). Coupon auctions resume with 3Y on June 9.
Ok monthly review is up.
Did the deep dive on the metrics bc people wanted to see how the spring draw down was managed, along with the subsequent rebound.
Have a look and find out! No paywall.
THE EUROPEAN UNION IS CONSIDERING TEMPORARILY FREEZING ADJUSTMENTS TO ITS RUSSIAN OIL PRICE-CAP MECHANISM AS CONCERNS GROW OVER A POTENTIAL FUEL SHORTAGE CAUSED BY DISRUPTIONS FROM THE IRAN CONFLICT AND THE EFFECTIVE CLOSURE OF THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ.
BREAKING: Despite Iran completely rejecting all previous proposals over nuclear issues, Hormuz authority, frozen funds and making clear it won’t accept any of the current frameworks, the Trump administration has sent an "new, even tougher" proposal with harder demands "designed to speed up the process by putting pressure on Iran to accept," per NYT.
Trump has also been "frustrated" with how long Iran has taken to respond to US proposals and requests, mainly because Iran is rejecting Trump’s daily requests which are sent are sent almost hourly through various channels to finally accept the deal framework.
