This afternoon, we launched the 2nd bootcamp of the @AGCCIAfrica_1 in collabo with @Rwanda_Edu, @RwandaGender, @RwandaICT, with support from SIEMENS, @DTC_Rwanda & @IncStela.
75girls received laptops &will be empowered with key #ICT skills in ✅️Robotics ✅️Programming ✅️AI.

Yesterday was Day 1 of the 5 days workshops at the Creativity Lab in Kigali to train Future Lego League volunteers as coaches for the upcoming robotics competition. Volunteers built prototypes for the given missions in relation to this year's robotics theme: "The Masterpiece ".

🔴L’ingénieur burundais @ebiribuze a remporté ce 30 novembre 2023, le prix "Black Engineer of the Year in community service" en 2023. Ce prix est décerné à un ingénieur qui a apporté des contributions exceptionnelles dans les domaines de la science, de l'ingénierie et des mathématiques aux États-Unis.

Eric BIRIBUZE recevra son prix devant le public américain pour son travail extraordinaire et ses connaissances avancées en ingénierie moderne, en recherche et en calculs. Il est également connu pour son engagement dans des activités éducatives de robots. Eric travaille au Burundi, au Rwanda et aux États-Unis pour promouvoir l'éducation STEM (science, technologie, ingénierie et mathématiques) auprès des jeunes enfants.

Il a fondé des programmes de robotique LEGO dans ces pays, offrant aux enfants un point d'entrée dans les domaines de la science et de l'ingénierie. Ces programmes permettent aux enfants de développer des compétences en construction, en programmation et en résolution de problèmes à travers des activités ludiques avec des robots LEGO.

Sur VOA, l’ingénieur BIRIBUZE a récement manifesté sa joie d’être parmi les rares personnes qui vont recevoir ce prix . Le prix « BEYA » est un prix qui a une grande signification pour moi. Il ne m’est pas seulement décerné, mais il est également décerné envers tous ceux qui travaillent avec moi dans le même domaine. C'est une bénédiction pour moi, pour ma famille et pour le pays du Burundi qui m'a donné naissance. Cet éloge est pour montrer d’où l’on vient que l’on a la capacité d’atteindre des choses lointaines. En travaillant ensemble, nous pouvons tous développer notre pays, le Burundi, sur la base des actions que nous accomplissons ».

Rappelons qu’en 2018, Eric BIRIBUZE avait déjà reçu le prix du meilleur ingénieur de l’année « BEYA »pour ses contributions et réalisations exceptionnelles chez Corning. Corning est une entreprise américaine spécialisée dans la fabrication de verre et de céramique. C’est notamment elle qui permit le développement de la technologie de la fibre optique ayant permis une révolution des télécommunications.
