It will forever astound me that gaming at large is all about "respect creative vision" until anything causes the slightest bit of inconvenience and then I gotta hear about how all these people complaining are apparently the only people who play games who have jobs and other responsibilities lol.
Arlo's video wasn't that bad, but the people quoting and going "Well I got other shit to do" are like...missing the point. Games are entertainment media they are not food, they are not required for you to function and they will still be there a week from now.
Stop confusing FOMO and wanting to be able to say you beat a thing with the actual experience of playing it. FW has made so many more concessions to make the alternate routes playthroughs and other things more streamlined as you go through more.
Even if there do end up being some pacing issues I'm just tired of hearing about how apparently all these people are the first ever to play a video game who also have to work a 9-5 and how gaming needs to be built around a specific 25-30 something age range so they don't feel left out instead of making the game how they want.
We need to stop letting social media and complaints dictate our talking points. If you think the game is too big, fine, just stop qualifying it where the game or piece of media doesn't bend to your schedule. We don't do this with tvs and movies but we do it constantly with games lol.
@SlySinatraa@KiraRenegade Cutting mechanics, sure... cutting side ops fine... but that's literally a key resolution. And it was damn near finished but the looks of it. Its like cutting the last few pages of a book out and then selling it while saying "nah its done".
@frylockmaster69 @ZillerKodiac @DeathmasqueIX @VtM_Bloodlines DnD and Vampire are different TTRPG. But I get what you mean. Depending on how they do it, it might work. Generally, yes, tho a blank slate would be preferable. But a character rpg might also be good. I've not kept up with the game. Expectations are low tbh
@ZillerKodiac @DeathmasqueIX @VtM_Bloodlines To clarify my point, I hope however they built the game, voice protag or not, I hope its the best they could have done. Buuuutt my expectations are low. This game should have apparently been released in 2023 i think. Then they switched developers. So again... low expectations
@ZillerKodiac @DeathmasqueIX @VtM_Bloodlines Sure, I get that. Mind you, though, we've only ever had one RPG adjacent game and a bunch of like narrative games?... not sure what they are. My point is it's kind of a weird series/franchise already.
I personally would have loved a blank slate. Keep it in line with the ttrpg
You miserable Metroid fans are embarrassing. I get it. It sucks we dont have a release date for metroid prime 4. But stirring up a shit storm just to be miserable is annoying and lame. Just chill.
