Indian forces crossed the International Border into Pakistan and launched a major offensive toward Lahore.
The move came after Pakistanโs Operation Gibraltar infiltration into J&K and its subsequent Operation Grand Slam offensive toward Akhnoor.
Indiaโs strategy was to open a new front, threaten Lahore and force Pakistan to divert forces away from Kashmir.
Lahore was suddenly in the line of fire.

The patented compound โ based on boron, hydrogen and nitrogen โ has been developed through collaboration involving DRDO and the University of Hyderabad's high-energy materials research ecosystem.

๐จ INDIA HAS A NEW WAY TO TAKE DOWN DRONES WITHOUT FIRING A SHOT ๐ฎ๐ณ
CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh has developed an acoustic based anti-drone system that can potentially bring down UAVs using high intensity sound.
No bullets.
No missiles.
No laser.
No traditional RF jamming.
The interesting part is what it attacks.
The system is designed to target the droneโs MEMS based inertial sensors. Strong directed acoustic energy can disturb these sensors and send wrong motion data to the flight controller.
Result?
The drone can lose stability and crash.
And this is where the technology gets interesting.
A drone which is autonomous or difficult to stop through conventional RF jamming could potentially be attacked through its own onboard sensors.
CSIO has also worked on a resonance driven UAV neutralisation system and its researchers have filed patent work around the concept.
But this isn't some magic โsonic gunโ that can destroy every drone from kilometres away.
Range, wind, background noise and different drone designs are still major challenges. The technology is also still in the development/commercialisation stage.
Still, India developing this kind of unconventional counter-UAS technology is a big deal.
The future of drone warfare won't just be about shooting drones out of the sky.
Sometimes the smarter way may be to make the droneโs own systems turn against it. ๐ฎ๐ณ

The Indian Navy is exploring an ambitious concept for an air-launched, rocket-assisted flying #torpedo designed to dramatically extend the reach of Anti-Submarine Warfare (#ASW).
๐น 150โ250 km stand-off range โ The weapon could travel hundreds of kilometres through the air before entering the sea, allowing the launch platform to engage suspected submarine operating areas from significant stand-off distances.
๐น Rocket-assisted + turbojet propulsion โ A proposed range-extension kit and turbojet engine would enable the weapon to cover its extended airborne phase before transitioning to underwater operations.
๐น Manned + unmanned launch platforms โ The concept is envisioned for deployment from both fighter aircraft and UAVs, potentially giving the Navy greater flexibility in hunting submarines across large maritime areas.
๐น Air-to-underwater transition ๐
As the weapon approaches the designated target zone, the air-travel/range-extension kit would be discarded. The system would then enter the water and deploy its internal torpedo, which would autonomously search for, detect and engage an underwater target.
๐ฏ Why it matters:
A system combining long-range aerial delivery with an onboard torpedo could allow Indian naval aviation to place an ASW weapon far beyond the immediate operating area of the launching aircraftโpotentially compressing the submarineโs reaction window while keeping the launch platform at greater stand-off distance.
๐ฎ๐ณ From detecting submarines to striking them at extended range โ Indiaโs ASW architecture could be entering a new era.
