According to your expert #nutrition advice, am I yet another #lowcarb victim that's not only managed #T2DReversal, but also shed a shit load of weight; who's no longer on any med pills!? Do I look sick to you? I was, but not anymore! Bet you wished you'd never touched this topic!
Low carb diet can never help you to lose weight permanently .It increases cortisol level and messes up other hormones in the body and cause more weight gain .
Choose the food on your plate wisely . 🍉🍊🍎🥕🫑🥒🍲
India is now planning to screen children (0–18 years) for diabetes under RBSK and offer free lifelong treatment.
This is a big move. But also a worrying signal.
Because…
Children should not be getting Type 2 Diabetes.
Type 1 - yes, unavoidable, requires insulin.
But Type 2 in kids?
This is not genetics. This is not fate.
This is food-driven disease.
What’s driving it?
Ultra-processed foods
Excess sugars
Refined carbs
Frequent snacking on reused seed oils
Sedentary lifestyle
We are now seeing:
Obesity in children
Fatty liver in teenagers
Insulin resistance at a very young age
And now… screening programs for diabetes in kids.
Think about it.
We are preparing systems to manage disease lifelong
instead of fixing what’s causing it.
Yes, early detection helps.
Yes, treatment access is important.
But the real question is:
Why are children reaching this stage at all?
If diet and lifestyle are not corrected:
More children will enter the pipeline
More will need lifelong treatment
The problem will keep expanding
This is not just a healthcare issue.
This is a nutrition failure at a population level.
Prevention is not complicated:
Real food
Lower sugar and refined carbs
Better protein intake
More movement
If we don’t address this now, we will normalize Type 2 Diabetes in children.
And that should never be normal.

A longevity pill for dogs reduces insulin resistance--which, as this @NewYorker writer explains (quite well!), leads to inflammation, disease, and shortened life...in DOGs. 🐕🐕🐕
Of course, the same is true in humans, but I've never seen a NYer article on insulin resistance in humans, or how it can be reversed, not with a new drug, but with diet alone. For dogs, just switch from kibble (full of starch) to meat--same effect!
Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla openly brags that all of the money his company made from Covid 19 will now be invested in cancer research.
THATS BECAUSE THE SV40 in the Covid vaccine causes cancer!!!!!
“Keto is a weight loss fad”
Tell that to the patient who got off blood pressure medication. Or the one who put type 2 diabetes into remission. Or the one who finally beat treatment-resistant depression.
We need to change the conversation.
It isn’t just a diet; it's a powerful medical intervention that fundamentally shifts our human physiology. 🧵
As a medical school professor, this is a paradigm shift I've been waiting for.
The American College of Cardiology now recommends universal screening for C-reactive protein (CRP) -- an inflammation marker -- alongside cholesterol.
Why?
CRP predicts heart attacks and strokes more reliably than LDL cholesterol or even lipoprotein(a).
One study showed CRP predicts heart disease as accurately as blood pressure.
And here's the problem: 52% of Americans have elevated CRP levels. Most don't know it.
CRP below 1 mg/dL = low inflammation = lower risk.
CRP above 3 mg/dL = high inflammation = elevated risk.
This is what metabolic dysfunction looks like in the cardiovascular system. Cholesterol is part of the story -- but chronic inflammation is the driver.
Ask your doctor for a high-sensitivity CRP test. It's a simple blood draw that could change your risk profile.

As a medical school professor, I tell my students: sitting is the new smoking. But here is the prescription no one expected.
A massive new study tracking 15,327 adults with Fitbits over years just proved that as few as 1,700 extra daily steps can offset the metabolic damage of sitting 14 hours a day.
The numbers are striking:
- 1,700 steps offset obesity and fatty liver risk
- 2,200 steps offset hypertension and sleep apnea
- 5,300 steps offset diabetes risk
- 5,500 steps offset COPD risk
But here is what stopped me cold: NO amount of walking fully offset heart failure risk at 14 hours of sitting. The damage to your cardiovascular system from prolonged sedentary behavior has a ceiling that steps alone cannot fix.
This is metabolic dysfunction in action. Your body was not designed for desk-bound living, and the damage cascades through every organ system.
The fix is not just "walk more." It is SIT LESS. And that distinction matters.

Turns out our beloved Yoga Pants might be poisoning us.
Apparently some of the chemicals in @lululemon can be tied to infertility, cancer and endocrine disruption.
Can I get a refund on my lululemon items? This is horrifying.
@CaryKelly11@ProfTimNoakes@DrSarahHallberg She was the first medical doctor who I came across that assured me that I could reverse my #T2D.
I, too, came across her TedTalk at the start of COVID, and she made my heart soar.
I’ve been in remission since May 2020, and continue to thrive…
Thank you Sarah, my hero, and star
It's been a little over 4 years since the amazing @DrSarahHallberg succumbed to cancer and she is still helping people.
Her Ted Talk on YouTube has over 11 million views and is perfect for anyone who is trying to understand why following standard advice gets them nowhere in their fight against type 2 diabetes. She put it all in perspective for me.
Sarah contracted terminal lung cancer despite never having smoked. Doctors gave her months to live but she survived for almost 5 years with the illness and she continued working until near the end of her life. She was that kind of person.
There is remarkably little sugar in your blood ONLY ONE TEASPOON of glucose in your entire bloodstream!! This is why small amounts of carbohydrates put blood sugar up so much if you have T2 Diabetes where insulin is not working properly @CampbellMurdoch I think you gave me this slide 🙏
Saturday night in Las Vegas, #THECHOLESTEROLCODE took the stage at The Beverly Theater.
