A dry landscape provides the backdrop to the origin of the Oshiwara river, (from the Nagri Nivara complex in Goregaon) The 7-km river originates in the Aarey Forest Known initially as Welbert river, it later got the name Oshiwara. The river finally merges with Malad Creek.
