Let Indians reliaze importance of #Roadsafety, reduce India rank1 in road accidents.

Today around 5.30 pm, one 4 wheeler car was over speeding in front of Indian oil petrol pump near gaimukh, ghodbunder road. It was so much speed that it could have thrown autorikshaw in which i was traveling. Don't understand why Indians overspeed, do accident @ThaneCityPolice
See now that this is viral, only now Traffic Police will issue some 10-20k challan, but that right there is an Attempted murder FIR and permanent suspension of license act with HD evidence.

Either tax the Mahindras Extra or make the sale contingent on a psychological exam.
Please read the highway signboards and choose your lane in advance.
Don't get into wrong lane and then reverse- it's against the rules, and some distracted driver may collide into you!

Delhi Traffic Police has launched a special enforcement drive against wrong-side driving across the National Capital to improve road safety, maintain traffic discipline and prevent fatal accidents.
🔸Since 04.05.2026, strict legal action has been initiated against violators, including registration of 72 FIRs and issuance of 7249 challans. Wrong-side driving remains a major cause of head-on collisions, traffic congestion and serious road accidents.
🔸Delhi Traffic Police reiterates that wrong-side driving is not just a traffic violation but a dangerous offence with potentially fatal consequences. Strict enforcement and prosecution against reckless offenders will continue to ensure safer roads for all.
🔸Citizens are urged to follow designated carriageways and adhere to traffic rules in the interest of public safety.

Today on Nagar road, Wagholi, I complained about the fancy number plate and tinted glass this vehicle belongs to a BJP MLA Number MH-12VF-1111. The strange part is I got a reply from PTP app stating insufficient evidence. @CPPuneCity@PuneCityPolice@Dev_Fadnavis@mieknathshinde
At what point did the @MumbaiPolice@MTPHereToHelp literally reach a point where they simply don’t give a damn?!?
Utter carnage on Mumbai streets
People driving on the wrong side of the streets like it’s their birthright
Two wheelers literally not caring about traffic lights like they’re in a video game wt multiple lives
Total mayhem
Have u guys simply lost control or simply don’t care anymore?
Can’t u seriously enforce traffic rules or is that expecting way too much?
Want to buy a new car? Show your parking permit.
Odisha’s draft urban parking policy 2026 proposes a mandatory “proof of availability of parking” for new vehicle registrations.
A good step to reduce on-street parking chaos, especially when many houses are built without proper parking facilities.
Full support.
@mohansson@ShivrattanDhil1 Sorry to differ, but more than 80 will bring havoc on Indian roads with more accident and deaths. Because We Indians don't understand road safety and safe driving.
His name is Tukaram Mundhe.
IAS officer. Maharashtra 2005 batch. His colleagues call him Singham.
In 21 years he has been transferred 24 times.
Not for misconduct. For honesty.
Every time he acted against corruption or political interests he was moved. Nagpur. Navi Mumbai. Nashik. Never allowed to stay long enough to finish what he started.
Administrative norms say minimum 3 years per posting.
He has averaged less than one year per posting across his entire career.
On March 31 2026 the Maharashtra government issued a reshuffle. Tukaram Mundhe received his 24th transfer in 21 years.
No explanation given. No misconduct cited.
India has a system for honest officers. It does not fire them. It moves them. Keeps moving them. Until they give up or retire.
Tukaram Mundhe has not given up.

Road crashes continue to cause a large number of fatalities every year, underscoring the critical importance of road safety awareness. As emphasized by Venkatesh Bala Subramanian, Head of the Centre of Excellence for Road Safety at IIT Madras, fostering a culture of road safety requires sustained engagement across all age groups and consistent reinforcement of responsible behavior on the road.
Awareness-driven initiatives, supported by technological interventions, play a key role in promoting safer practices and enhancing road safety for all road users.
let us all join together and build a safer road culture for every journey.

1/2 #Children require specialised protection inside vehicles. Their bodies are still developing & cannot withstand crash forces the same way adults can. #Seatbelts are designed for adult bodies & do not provide adequate protection for young children. #ChildSafety#CRS
