However, we were disappointed at lack of breakthroughs in other areas.

EU engaged intensively on: fisheries subsidies, agriculture & WTO reform.

Agreements were within reach, supported by a big majority, but ultimately blocked by a handful of countries – sometimes just 1.

At their 2nd Ministerial meeting in Abu Dhabi, 61 members endorsed a communiqué & Menu of Voluntary Actions with clear messages for #MC13, urging:

Welcoming the EU’s Director General for Taxation and Customs Union, Mr @gerass_thomas for an information session on the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). The session enabled many members from developing countries and emerging markets to share their concerns about the EU’s CBAM and to receive some constructive responses, including the way forward.
