Growing up in a traditional South Asian family, we would hear about the heroic exploits of Sikh soldiers on the frontlines of battle during WW2. It inspired many of us to pursue careers in the military and law enforcement. Wearing the uniform is a call of duty. Remembrance Day gives us a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by our forefathers so we could enjoy the freedom we have today. Lest we Forget 🙏

A lot of people aren't aware that #India send over a million soldiers to fight in #FlandersFields! These Indian soldiers were send off to fight a war that wasn't theirs, far away from their home and culture.
