❌😭 Serena Williams WITHDRAWS from #Wimbledon women’s doubles alongside her sister, due to knee pain, but promises to be back ‘in a city near you’:
“I'm heartbroken to have to withdraw from doubles. Coming back to compete again has been a gift, and the opportunity to play alongside @Venuseswilliams once more meant the world to me.
“I did everything I could but unfortunately my knee just isn't ready to compete.
“I'm especially grateful to tournament director, Jamie Baker, and the entire tournament team for giving me every opportunity to recover. Thank you to the fans for your incredible support and for making this comeback so meaningful
“All I can say is stay tuned to a city near you
“The photo of the syringes is the fluid they drained from my knee after my singles match - yikes! The good news is that my knee shouldn't swell or collect that much fluid again.
“The bad news is that, as hard as I tried, I wasn't able to be ready for doubles.”

Dwayne Johnson is facing backlash for staying quiet on politics, with "Star Trek" icon George Takei telling him that "silence is complicity" and "Stand By Me" actor Wil Wheaton adding: “So disappointing to find out he is such a coward.”
Johnson told Fox News in 2024 that he regretted endorsing Joe Biden for president in 2020 because it caused division amongst his fans, adding at the time: “My goal is to bring this country together. I believe in that. There will be no endorsement. At this level of influence, I will keep my politics to myself. It is between me and the ballot box.”
The blockbuster actor expanded on his newfound aversion to political talk by telling Esquire this month: “What I have learned through experience is that I need to keep — need, not want — the main thing. And the main thing for me, the thing that in the morning I swing my legs out of bed and I run towards, is creating. It’s art. It’s storytelling. I’ve learned I’m going to keep my politics to myself. There are moments when, hey, there’s nothing we can’t talk about. If I’m wrong, I’ll tell you I’m wrong. Or if I feel like I got a leg up and this is the right way to go, I’ll share it with you. Politics is omnipresent and it’s forever. I don’t like it. I hate it at times. I hate the slinging. I hate all the bullshit that comes with it.”

There's not a single person who ever interacted with Kenny Klein that has a bad story about him. Not one. He was a consummate professional while also being one of the most genuine people I've ever met.
Love you, Kenny. This one hurts.

Do you notice that we see a lot of X posts from Republican senators demanding the SAVE Act be passed but literally do nothing to make it happen?
We are being gaslit by all of them.
.@SenJohnKennedy,
Is it true that you’re publicly supporting the SAVE America Act,
but then privately attacking those Senators that are actually pushing for the SAVE America Act?
It looks like you’re up for re-election in 2028.
Starting to think the crapvection north of Indy is going to limit any real severe threat. I mean no real surprise as this tends to happen frequently. We’ll see if the 4pm SPC update pushes things to the SW.

This is the structure towards Noblesville. Base seemed to be lowering with some rotation. Taken near 191st and Moontown.

Sir, I'm here to buy 8 pounds of chicken wings, 600 paper plates, and a years supply of oil for my truck, not be harassed about changing my phone plan.
@KentuckyLacy I’ve never fully confirmed it but one of my high school guidance counselors was apparently his college sweetheart at EKU. Either the day of or after his passing she closed her office door for the entire day. I was an office aide at the time and you could tell she’d been crying.
