@rocket_feather@SlopHq@neontaster Right, so can't really compare energy costs in the US as apples to apples. It's fair to be more concerned with the thing we have thousands more of that is consuming that much energy in the aggregate
@TheExpatGamer@neontaster Not all differences in fact patterns are meaningful. And Ronaldo's treatment was arguably more deferntial and beneficial than what USMNT got given the nature of Ronaldo's foul and the suspension of 2-game ban versus 1-game ban. So the differences actually cut in favor of USMNT
@gerardtbaker Terrible analogy. No one gets a medal simply handed to them in the case of the USMNT. why not just use the more analogous case where the person simply gets to compete at the Olympics? Why pretend USMNT was awarded some medal or victory? We just got to use our normal squad
@ellencarmichael If they expect life to be unfair someone needs to tell Belgium and all the Euro X users crying that America gets its full squad back. They don't seem to be coping well
@VincentVan19902@USMNT_2026 Incorrect. They overturned 2-game suspension for Ronaldo so he could play in the group stage games of the world cup. Without FIFA intervention Portugal would not have advanced out of group
@TheExpatGamer@neontaster The question is whether the sanction relief is appropriate. Plus, Ronaldo's was more egregious, hence the 3 game ban he was supposed to have
@AndyMuckaluck@NateSilver538 Red cards are common but not all red cards are equal. I haven't seen any commentary arguing the red card was appropriate. Similar reversals were done in this world cup for Portugal
@HighestLoyalty@ByronYork Putting aside the fact that Trump is using the DOJ to target his political enemies, your post misses the fact that American people didn't receive a dime from Trump's insider trading and crypto schemes. Trump is massively inflating personal wealth via the office of the president
@Ky41491@ByronYork Corruption even if no laws were broke. He's investing in companies before he hands them contracts. His SEC dropped investigations into individuals who invested in his crypto schemes. He and his family took billions from gulf nations before launching a war on their behalf
@ConnHir07@TheOmniLiberal I'm wondering the same thing. I'm mainly hearing it from people who should be happy with the outcome but maybe they are trying to make it sound worse than it is?
@AtaullahSiddik5@Rainmaker1973 Fair and clear policies were never a priority for elon. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. People who steal content and people who steal content and put a watermark on it should be treated the same i.e. demonetized
