Just a reminder that a not guilty verdict for Rittenhouse does not preclude a civil suit against him for wrongful death and other torts.
Standard of proof is different and defenses somewhat different, depending on state law.

To your point, I think the greatest risk of partaking in any venture falls on the employee. One serious $ emergency and that’s it.
