It would be mistaken to say companies like Pratt and Whitney have not innovated on jet engine design in the last 70+ years of making them.
For example, 13 years ago they added this single gear between the compressor stage and turbofan at a program cost of only $10 billion. 🧵
@ConsumerSOS@TorontoPearson EGates with NEXUS are amazing. Walked past a completely full customs hall a week or two ago and right through the eGate. Took me 30s through customs.
Remember that giant country-wide outage by @Rogers Canada a few weeks back? Rogers has now released some more insights into what happened. Let's take a look 🧵
@shehackspurple@RachelTobac Lots of people couldn’t pay bills because the banks themselves went down public facing. Not just 2FA via SMS. Lots of carrier redundancy conversations on Monday…
@PatFlynn You could use a small panel heater/cooler (used for electric panels outside): https://t.co/qBkCY6SxUJ or hack a temp control to a tiny portable fridge / cooler to give better temp control.
Even in #Dnipro people are preparing for life underground, making basements as comfy as they can. Upstairs, I’ve seen window glass taped; piles of tyres in yards
But life goes on: teachers do zoom classes between bunkers -‘so the children are busy & don’t panic’, a mum told me
Canada is 1/10th the size of USA
If the US has had 900K Covid deaths
it stands to reason that we should have had 90K deaths
-
Sadly, we've lost 34K.
-
So it's possible there are 56K Canadians still alive because most of us did what we had to do
Maybe you know one of them
I am making public the letter I sent to @TOPublicHealth today, asking for school intervention.
It's a targeted ask to recognize the risk to 1.1 million wholly unvaccinated children in Ontario next week.
It's not the only need, but it's the scariest.

@m8urnett One has an integrated heat exchanger and is super insulated for hydronic systems, the other is a run of the mill gas water heater. If you need the fancy one for a geothermal system just get the seperate heat exchanger instead.
